Background
Terry Todd Wedding was accused of killing his parents. His parents were Manville Todd Wedding, 59, and Beverly W. Wedding, 56. He was also accused of killing police officer Joey Vincent, 29, and Joey’s wife, Amy, 22.

In Greenville, a small town of about 4,500 people, flags flew at half-mast after the killings.
Library worker Sandra Galyen said: "I think everyone's just in shock. You hear something like that about such good people and you just don't believe it. You know deep down it's the truth but your mind just won't let you believe it."
The offence
Police said Wedding shot and killed his mother, bludgeoned his father to death with a baseball bat, and then shot and killed police officer Joey Vincent. Police also said he shot and killed Vincent’s pregnant wife.
Police believed Wedding first killed his parents, Manville Todd Wedding and Beverly W. Wedding, in an open field about a mile from the family home in Depoy, Kentucky.
Police believed Wedding then killed Joey Vincent and Vincent’s 22-year-old wife, Amy, in the driveway of their home. The Vincents’ home was adjacent to the home of Wedding and his parents.
The Vincents’ 3-year-old daughter was found inside unharmed.
On June 27, 1999, Wedding went on a deadly rampage.
The killings included:
- Shooting his mother, Beverly, to death
- Murdering his first cousin and next-door neighbor Joey Vincent
- Murdering Joey’s pregnant wife
- Retrieving a baseball bat and bludgeoning his father, Manville, to death
- Stealing $1,200 from the parents’ home
The narrative included that Wedding was taking lethal revenge for his relatives committing him for a short stay in Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Investigation
Police believed the sequence of killings began with the murders of Wedding’s parents in an open field about a mile from the family home in Depoy, Kentucky.
Police then believed Wedding killed Joey Vincent and Vincent’s pregnant wife in the driveway of their home, which was adjacent to the home of Wedding and his parents.
Police said the Vincents’ 3-year-old daughter was found inside unharmed.
