The offence
On October 27, 1975, Robert Poulin opened fire on his classmates with a shotgun at St. Pius X High School in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He killed one and wounded five. After shooting, he turned the gun on himself and committed suicide.
Prior to the St. Pius X High School shooting, Poulin raped and stabbed his 17-year-old friend Kim Rabot to death and set fire to her body in his basement bedroom.
Outcome
One wounded student died just over a month later.
