The offence
On May 14, 1957, eight-year-old Brenda Doucette was reported missing en route to her neighborhood school in Bristol, Connecticut. She was found dead the same day. She had been stabbed 22 times with a screwdriver and was strangled with a man's sweater.
Davies also killed 16-year-old Gaetane Boivin in identical fashion in Waterbury, Connecticut, on May 9. Boivin was kidnapped and killed; her body was recovered by searchers twelve days later.
