Varga hitchhiked across eastern Nevada and asked everybody he met that he was looking for a Lutheran Councilor. He said he had come from New York and had made his way with the aid of Lutheran Councils.
At Wells in Elko County, he was directed to the Mornings, Reverend Morning being the Presbyterian minister in town. Varga went to the Mornings; however, the Reverend was not at home.
Varga was executed clad in a black shroud with a white cross on the back. He said that this was customary in Hungary for those penitents expecting immediate death.
