Background
Zdenek Hrbac worked as a car-mechanic in Bonn and had been living in Germany for about five years. He worked as a cleaner for the city buses in Oberollendorf.
He was 26 years old at sentencing and was described as 25-year-old in the German court proceeding. After his arrest in September, he confessed to the crime.
The offence
The court imposed a life sentence on Zdenek Hrbac for having raped a 14-year-old girl and stabbing her to death.
On August 29, he assaulted the 14-year-old girl. He tied her up and gagged her, pulled her to an empty bus, and raped her. He then stabbed the girl outside the bus where she bled to death and hid the corpse in a ditch.
