Overview
John Hall was executed by asphyxiation-gas in Nevada on November 28, 1932.
His real name was Everette Mull. He was 53 years old and was a native of North Carolina.
The offence
John Hall was convicted of murdering John C. O'Brien on June 15, 1931.
Hall and O'Brien were in the bootlegging business in Clark County in southern Nevada. Hall believed O'Brien had been stealing from him. Hall and O'Brien’s families were driving in a car belonging to the O'Brien family. Without warning, Hall shot O'Brien five times in the back, killing him. Hall also severely beat Mrs. O'Brien with his revolver.

Hall and the Halls tried to get away, but were picked up in southern California.
Hall was condemned to death for his crime.
